Aunt Pattis 50th (1/1)

My Dear Venerable Old Aunt Patti turned 50. So we had a party, and Uncle Bill and Cousin Jill and I stayed up late, and he told us stories about him 'n' my dad when they were young, about how they studied hard and helped little old ladies across the street.

Sunsetting, as Jill and I were on our way.
Uncle Bill, happy to see me.
Uncle Bill, not happy that I just took a photo.
"Lucky". In his bed. By the fire. Well-named.
Lucky on the deck.
Elongated Lucky.
Patti, Kristin, Bill, cookin' up a storm.
Jill, Patti, Food.
Food. Yummy.
That's a lot of fruit salad. And it all went. Much of it into my stomach.
Action-cooking shot. Let me tell you about some plates..
So there was this little accident. Aunt Patti rents plates for these affairs. We unloaded them onto the table. The table wasn't centered on its stand. ...
... Kristin was working on the short end of the table. A little while after she got up, the table suddenly leaned, the plates slide, and there was a huge noise.
25 out of 50 plates survived.
It was a big mess. But at least there was no food on the table.
And at the very end, I cut myself. You have to look very close. It's a little tiny dot of blood.
Party.
Party.
Party.
Cousin Ann(i)e.
Jill, Kristin, Party.
Candles. 50.
I believe cutting your cake with a sword classifies you as "eccentric."
Gifts and mockery-for-being-old.
I want to have the job where I invent such fluorescent tags.
Me, in dire need of a shave.
Cousin Annie.
Allison made us hats. They were super.
Bill, dealing with the leftover cooler ice in an inexplicable way. See, he had dumped it into the sink so he didn't have to do dishes until it melted. But then he decided that he wanted to do dishes, so he started scooping it out.
Scoop.
Aunt Patti is a Certified Orchid Fiend.
The ride back.
Random landmark that Jill uses to know when she's almost to her parents' place. Unfortunately we were leaving, so it didn't indicate much.
I thought the shadow of the car, particularly the side-mirrors, was cute.
Luckily, Jill took the right path, or we could have ended up accidentally going to America!
Sun was very low, so you got a perfect silhouette of the car. And I got to practise spelling the word silhouette.
