Bush Visit Protests (1/3)

Dubya came to town, and this is what I saw (and wrote). Warning: Contains the words "Mother fucker", offensive political messages, and depictions of pubic hair ("bush").

There was one single solitary lonely airplane in the sky, presumably equipped with all sorts of fancy spy-stuff.
Downtown, a bit empty for that itme of day.
A cop. One of the many.
Some protesters on Laurier.
Same group, other direction. Note the upside down flag.
Arriving on parliament hill
more people. Umbrella is (I think) a hot dog stand having a good day.
"No to Canada's participation in U.S. state terrorism" I think.
Communist party of Canada.
Hands of Cuba
"Do weapons in space make you feel safe?"
"Love U.S. People -- Bush regime is evil"; "Hey W, we have pot, gay marriages and French-speaking people -- run for your life!"
"End the massacre", "Liz sez: Blue states -- we'll take you back if you ask nicely" (with picture of Queen E.)
"Lebanon 1983, Sompalia 1993, Iraq 2004: Drive out the imperialists!" "Denounce George W. Bush: War criminal and mass murderer"
"Bush -- moron" "Do you miss trees?"
Cops helping the protest sound truck move. Very friendly.
One side of one of the protest trucks.
There were a truckload of people taking pictures (myself included obviously).
Lots of signs and banners.
More photographers.
A piper. He didnt' have a scottish accent.
"You cannot fight terrorism from 20,000 feet in the air"
"Bush -- #1 World Terrorist!"
Signs, banners, parliament
"Defeat imperialist aggression through class struggle!"
All of a sudden the sun came out briefly. It was warm and pleasant.
"Coming soon to a satellite near you..." (picture of a bomb)
This seemed to be a slightly bewildered man in a rainbow cap.
aaah, xml. Is there anything it can't do?
More xml.
Blood, money, oil.
"Bush = Bad", "No Bush"
"Freedom for Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Haiti"
This was a fairly common theme -- comparisons with nazi germany.
More nazi references.
"After Hitler, Staline[sic], Pinochet: Bush" "Bush war criminal" "Out of Irak[sic]"
