Cavan and Leitrim (1/1)

Me. In a wetsuit. For the first time. I knew it would be hard to describe the utter sexiness of it all, so I took this photo for you. I took another photo, but the sun made my belly look protuberous.
The lake we'd canoed on in the sit-on-top not-a-canoe canoe.
This is the lake at our second B&B. It was pretty.
This was the B&B. It was all nice inside.
Clare.
Old (circa 1400? or 1200? AD) church remains, still-active graveyard.
The inside of the cathedral was all locked up but there were still recent burials there, which seemed weird. I took a photo to see what I could see.
Apparently this is one of the finest examples of this kind of window in Ireland.
If you look carefully you can see the path of the ancient earthworks from pre-Christian (druid?) settlement in this place. This was right near our B&B which was called the "Old Rectory," presumably for this church.
We kinda cleaned up this very old flat gravestone, trying to find the date. I peeled of some plants and they came off formed to the letters of the word "Soul", which was pretty cool. It was from 1760 or something.
Clare.
I climbed that tree a bit. Just the easy, safe bit.
There's me in the tree.
Yes, it was very easy to walk up that branch.
"Fairy Bridge". To ward off badness.
An old/ancient (no explanation was there, so we couldn't guess at the age, but there were ancient ring-fort remains nearby) bench-thing.
Same bench, different person.
