Greece - Mycenae and Napflio (1/1)

Two little towns on the Mainland, before we went to Crete.

Giant stone-carved lions, missing heads.
Ruins + hillside.
Olive orchards, I think.
That's pretty cool, building a wall on a cliff like that.
The top-left bit is a top-view on four very dark sets of stairs that go way underground to a cistern outside the walls. I went down, but had no light. Some French folks behind me had theirs, and I borrowed some photons.
Lions up closer.
These were "Beehive Tombs", 'cause they were beehive shaped inside. Also very big. Totally pilfered because they were never buried.
Looking out from coast Napflio.
Marble square. They seemed to have a surplus of marble there.
We climbed up there. It was a Byzantine fortress, with four independent bastions inside.
0.7% of the climb complete!
View from ~400 steps
View from ~700 steps
Shadow of a typical church bell
Clare, dark tunnel.
Yup, we sure were up there.
Beach. Clare swam, not me.
Leaving! Crete, here we come..
