Holland Keukenhof (1/2)

It's hard to take bad photos of fields of flowers on a gorgeous day.

Fountain at the entrance.
Ooohh! Flowers!
Alright, I'm not going to caption every photo with "ooh! flowers."
Josh was surprised I could identify these as hyaciinths.
This caption intentionally left blank.
I liked the play of the shadows on the ground, and the quaint little bridge.
When is a tulip not a tulip? When it has funny pointy petals!
More shadows that I liked.
Swan.
Swan, closer.
When is a tulip not a tulip? When it's upside down and strange!
This gentleman was being quizzed about various aspects of tulip-growing. He said they do fairly severe crop-rotations each year to prevent disease.
This looked and smelled yummy. It was sorta like bacon.
Thin strip of flowers.
Lots and lots of tulips.
Lots of people, too. It was prety busy, but so huge that it wasn't bothersome except at the entrance.
