MSC Malaga - All Aboard (1/1)

In June, 2006, I took a freighter from Liverpool to Montreal. These are from when I first boarded.

Containers on land, stairs up the container-loading machine
so many containers.
More containers
Some truck things, another ship (a tanker?), general industrial-sized devices
View over liverpool. As far as I can tell, Liverpool is built mostly out of containers.
Looking up at the container-loading machine.
Container-loading machine (which undoubtedly has a fancy name like Containosaurus Rex) in action
Man in Containosaurus Rex
that's a container. It's so cute and tiny.
Thems be metric tonnes.
Two containers stacked on the ground by some other device, about to be loaded.
looks like that thing from starwars, but really it's a Containosaurus feeder

Looking sternward (that's not a word) from the deck
Turn around, look up.
Gridwork to hold "reefers" (refrigerated containers)
Across the deck
There was one internal stairwell. This was it.
Every flight of stairs (the floors were two short flights apart) had a sign between them like this, or..
..like this (on the actual floor). Made it easy enough to find things.
"Be vigilant in pirate areas!"...none in the Atlantic, lucky for me.
Mooring ropes, bigger than my (admittedly scrawny) arms
Safety plan. It's so simple -- why didn't I think of it?
