Morocco - Trip to the Sahara (1/2)

We all went on a "package tour" to the near bits of the Sahara, then rode camels to stay in a traditional Berber tent. It was pretty cool.

Sad camel. Lots of them seemed to have minor ailments. Me on a camel. Clare was too, so the photo was hard to take. Camelbutt (plus me) Further evidence that I actually rode a camel. Me 'n berry, with our peppermint tea. Our Berber hosts. The Aussie year out students that were with us Sleepy people after the night in the cold desert tent. What a desparate place! Do not go over the edge. A few bits of life cling on. A little village we went through. More life in the valley, where the rains go through. Cyber cafe! Shops Cliffs Hills, Green in the valley. Road. Little furrows. As best as I could guess they were for keeping the rainwater close to the roots of plants. Clothes drying in the sun. Man praying. Camouflage housing. More camouflage bullding even more! Man plus radio tower. Roads wrapped around mountains. Crazy, crazy roads. These guys didn't like Clare taking a photograph of them, they gave us the dirties for a while. nice light in our room on the last night. Vines in the Riad's courtyard Floorconditioning
